My Taco Bell Menu Favorites

People ask me all the time if I eat Taco Bell as CEO. Of course I do, all the time! Our headquarters even has its own Taco Bell restaurant in the dining center and a Test Kitchen where we test all our products. I’m so proud of the food we serve and creativity we come up with, whether it’s a long-time menu classic or a limited-time mashup.

I’m obsessed, but more importantly, our fans are obsessed. That’s why we’re doing something we’ve never done before: letting our fans pick one long-lost menu item to return for a limited-time! Our Double Decker Taco and Enchirito are two of our most requested former menu items and they’re going head to head with Taco Bell Rewards Members able to vote in-app on which should reign supreme and return on menus*. The power to impact our menu is in everyone’s hands now, so go vote!

As we wait for the results, I thought it’d be fun to share my own thoughts on some of our menu items. We can call it Mark’s Menu, if you will.

Double Decker Taco v. Enchirito

Starting with the two menu items in question. I’ve gotta be Team Enchirito. It dates back to my childhood in the 70s, so there’s something nostalgic about it.

Beefy 5-Layer Burrito v. The Bell Beefer

Another blast from the past, the Bell Beefer. If I controlled Taco Bell’s menu, the Bell Beefer would be back tomorrow. I love all our beefy burritos, but that’s probably one of my top favorite items ever.

Mexican Pizza v. Crunchwrap Supreme

Two crowd favorites that wrote and broke all the rules. But I gotta choose Mexican Pizza…I mean there is a reason we gave it its own musical!

Cinnamon Twists v. Cinnabon Delights®

This is a hard one. But I’d have to say Cinnabon Delights®. I mean, dessert, disguised as breakfast, disguised as dessert, what’s not to love.

Fire Sauce v. Diablo Sauce

Neither! My vote will always go to Verde Sauce.

Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco v. Naked Chalupa with a Crispy Plant-Based Shell

Can I say both? These were limited time offers last year, but talk about innovation in a time when everyone else was just selling normal fried chicken sandwiches.

Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes v. Black Beans and Rice

Two amazing vegetarian** sides. I have to side with potatoes…after all, my team turned me into a talking potato head when we brought them back to menus!

*NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Voting open to Taco Bell Rewards Members who are logged in to their account when placing their vote. Limit 1 vote per day, per account during the voting period. The winning item will be brought back for a limited time and while supplies last to participating U.S. Taco Bell® locations at a time and duration to be determined by Taco Bell.

**American Vegetarian Association-certified vegetarian food items are lacto-ovo, allowing consumption of dairy and eggs but not animal byproducts. Vegetarian and meat ingredients are handled in common, and cross contact may occur, which may not be acceptable to certain types of vegetarian diets.
